What is Electrolysis?
Electrolysis eliminates unwanted hair permanently, with incomparable results, regardless of heredity, metabolic or hormonal causes.

Does Electrolysis Work?
Yes. Electrolysis is the only method approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the permanent removal of unwanted hair. As the hair is treated, regrowth is prevented, versus being removed temporarily. Only electrolysis provides both hair removal and hair elimination.

Is Electrolysis Safe?
Yes. The Studio sterilizes supplies in the same manner doctors and hospitals do. The Studio maintains a clean and sanitized environment along with sterile supplies for each individual treatment.

What Body Areas Can Be Treated with Electrolysis?
Electrolysis rids undesirable hair from men and women in most areas of the body, regardless of skin or hair type. Common treatment areas include the eyebrows, upper lip, chin, jawline, cheeks, underarms, chest, abdomen, back, groin, and bikini line.

What Does Electrolysis Feel Like?
Clients will experience a momentary heat sensation. Discomfort is minimal for most people, but individual tolerances vary greatly. Keep in mind that some areas of the body are much less sensitive than others.

Electrolysis Versus Laser Hair Removal?
Electrolysis is the only FDA-recognized method for permanent hair ‘removal’, as opposed to laser, which offers permanent hair ‘reduction’. laser treatments work only on certain skin and hair types, whereas, electrolysis is suitable for all types.

Are All Hairs Eliminated in One Treatment or is Regrowth Expected?
Excessive hair growth known as hirsutism, can range from fine, vellus hair to dark, coarse hair on the face and body. Breaking down the hair growth cells on deep, coarse hairs may require more than one treatment. Based on your personal and confidential consultation, a treatment plan will be designed that addresses your specific hair removal needs.

Are There Any Side Effects to Electrolysis?
Minimal. Since electrolysis destroys the dermal papilla of a hair (hair root), it is normal to see some slight redness and/or mild swelling associated with the electrolysis treatment. In most individuals, this will disappear in half an hour to several hours.

Is Electrolysis Costly?
Electrolysis costs compare favorably to other removal methods, including laser. when considering the long-term, recurring treatments required with other methods, electrolysis is a cost-effective solution.
